It’s impossible to predict earthquake! However there are some techniques to detect and convector an upcoming shockwave a few seconds in advance. It depends how far your Earthquake early Warning System is from the epicenter of the event. I found their approach very unique. This is based on detecting P-Waves which travel faster than S-Waves. The latter contains destructive energy. I found more information in here:
